I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again; HOW is it already the middle of July?! The year has flown by. Before you know it, we’ll be seeing Christmas decorations in stores.
I have been trying harder to round-up some of my favorite items each month to share with you guys. I am for the most part a pretty frugal shopper; so when I find really good bargains I of course want to pay it forward.
This months collection is a hodgepodge of random items, so I’ll just jump right in.
Bumkins splash floor mat / $18.00: Charlie is a bull in a china shop when it comes to eating. I was deep cleaning under her high chair last weekend and couldn’t believe the crusty food build-up I was fighting to remove. I immediately went online looking for a solution. I’m still on the fence about this one. I love the Bumkins brand, however, this mat wasn’t exactly what I had expected. It wasn’t as thick as I would have preferred, so it slips and slides all over the place. I’m thinking this would be better suited for arts and crafts, or any DIY projects where you are wanting to cover/protect your surfaces. Either way, I am definitely keeping it for future toddler projects!
Tablet drawing glove & Precision Stylus / $8.00 & $15.00: These two go hand in hand (get it?) I have been trying to up my design game, and with that comes a certain level of illustrating. I want to be able to make custom and unique pieces for my clients that are unlike anything else. I’m really impressed with the quality of these. The glove is great because I am someone who needs to rest their full hand on the iPad screen for a steady hand, and this allows me to do so without affecting the screen. It makes me laugh because I feel like Michael Jackson wearing it. Also, the pen has two ends, a thicker regular shaped stylus, and one with a disc at the end, that gives a true feel that you’re using a regular pen. I have been using them nearly every night since I got them. Highly recommended if you are a newbie artist or designer.
The YoYo child’s interactive cell phone / $8.00: Yes, yes, I know. All of you judge Judy’s in the world can sit down. My kid is enamored with cell phones. She likes the movement, colors and who even knows at this point. All I know is that she messes with mine way too often. I caved and got her this little gem and have zero regrets about it. She loves it, and it was worth every penny. You charge it through a little USB cable it comes with; and it’s just an awesome little gadget if you have an equally electronic obsessed toddler.
That’s it for this month! I’ve tried to rope in my Amazon spending because let me tell you, It’s a black hole of goodies.
